At Cornell Estates, we’re committed to each and every one of our residents and to all of the members of our local community. We’ve forged many close relationships with local officials, business leaders, school administrators and teachers, and church ministers and pastors.
These key partners assist us in offering valuable activities and programs that benefit residents, their families, and the public at large. We are very grateful to all of those individuals and organizations that have given so much to enrich the quality of life at Cornell Estates.

Arts, Culture & Entertainment
Daughters of American Revolution – David Hill Chapter
The DAR, founded in 1890 and headquartered in Washington, D.C., is a non-profit, non-political volunteer women’s service organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history, and securing America’s future through better education for children. The David Hill Chapter is a small and very friendly place to celebrate, study and honor your Revolutionary War heritage. Our chapter is always delighted to welcome new and returning members, and we are more than willing to help those trying to research and document their family history.

Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce
The Greater Hillsboro Area Chamber of Commerce promotes business prosperity and a healthy, diverse community by providing information, services and advocacy for our members. The Chamber runs networking events, provides relevant business education, and several siganture events each year.

Hillsboro Community Arts
Hillsboro Community Arts fosters the arts through entertainment, education, experience. Sponsored programs include Art Around Town, Showtime at Shute, Arts Education Scholarships, and the HCA Vocal Ensemble.

Hillsboro Community Youth Choir
Proudly servicing Washington County, the Hillsboro Community Youth Choir members range in age from kingergarten to 12th. Our two auditioned choirs include Premiere for grades 5-8, and Encore for grades 9-12. They are responsible for many inspiring and entertaining performances throughout the school year, both formal and informal. In addition we also offer two non-auditioned preparatory choirs, Prelude 1 for grades K-2, and Prelude 2 for grades 3-4. These two valuable classes help young singers begin the road to life-long singing.

Hillsboro Kiwanis Club
Since 1958, Hillsboro Kiwanis has been the liason between those who wish to serve and those in need of service. We actively promote fund raisers to assist Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, Quiet Waters, The Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp, The SMART Reading Program, and our own Sponsored Youth Programs (e.g. Circle K, Key Clubs, Builders Clubs).

Hillsboro Symphony Orchestra
The Hillsboro Symphony Orchestra welcomes you to its family of local musicians, a group who graciously gives of their time and talents in order to share the love of music with their community. The Hillsboro Symphony has been enriching the lives of the Hillsboro community since 2001.

Intel Choir
The Intel Singers is a small choir made up of Intel employees who love singing. The group shares its talents in retirement homes, schools and community venues while donating to schools and other charitable causes in the Hillsboro and Greater Portland metro area.
Oregon Zoo
The oldest zoo west of the Mississippi was created in 1889 by local pharmacist Richard Knight. Today, the zoo is home to animals from all corners of the world and its award-winning education programs serve nearly 700,000 people both at the zoo and at schools, senior and community centers around the region. Above all, the Oregon Zoo’s mission is to inspire our community to create a better future for wildlife.

Portland Rose Festival
For one hundred years, the Portland Rose Festival has served families and individuals from Oregon and beyond with events and programs that spotlight the riches of our Pacific Northwest heritage and environment while offering colorful examples of many international cultures. Attended by more than two million people, the festival is annually one of the top three most highly decorated events by the International Festivals & Events Association (IFEA). Among the festival’s most popular events are the Grand Floral Parade, Dragon Boat Races, and the WaMu Village Waterfront.

Adelante Mujeres
Adelante Mujeres grew out of the resolve of a small group of low-income Latina women immigrants and allies to improve the quality of life for themselves and their community. They are a 501(c)3 non-profit charitable organization whose mission is the holistic education and empowerment of low-income Latina women and their families.

Hillsboro Fire Fighter’s Union
The mission of IAFF Local 2210 is continuous organizational improvement for all of our members while representing their interests with honesty and integrity in the areas of protecting their health and safety, maintaining a fair and equitable environment, and showing a civic pride by consistent community involvement. To accomplish our mission requires nothing less than a highly responsive executive board, genuinely professional and thoroughly engaged membership, and a collaborative collegial working relationship with management.

Mooberry Elementary School
Mooberry Elementary School offers a diverse educational program in which a strong academic foundation and safe learning environment both nurture and encourage the development of every student’s potential. Volunteers offer their time in many areas including assisting in the classroom, participating in the SMART reader program, and coordinating and working at many of our evening events.

St. Matthew Catholic Church & School
St. Matthew Catholic Church is a unique parish in the Archdiocese of Portland staffed by the Missionaries of the Holy Spirit. Located at 332 Northeast 6th Avenue, Hillsboro, the Friends Church of Hillsboro is a member of the Northwest Yearly Meeting of Friends. Hillsboro United Methodist Church
The Hillsboro United Methodist Church is a congregation of 400 people located in Hillsboro, Oregon. We are members of the Oregon/Idaho Conference in the Western Jurisdiction of the United Methodist Church. Hillsboro UMC began with a gathering of settlers on the dusty Tualatin Plains in the summer of 1843. Now 164 years later, we continue in the footsteps of the early pioneers as we gather to grow spiritually through worship, small group studies, fellowship and service to our wider community.
