Former educator, Barbara Halstead, will present, “Turkey’s Magical Highways”, for the January travelogue hosted by Cornell Estates Retirement and Assisted Living. Her power point slide show on Friday, January 15 at 1:30pm will highlight where our civilization had its beginnings.
After ballots are mailed on January 8th, a Voter Assistance Team will come to Cornell Estates to assist any voter on Wednesday, January 13th at 10:00am in the Party Room. Each team is comprised of two registered voters with different political affiliations.
On Friday, January 8, from 1:30 to 2:30, Margaret Noel, from the League of Women Voters, will speak at Cornell Estates about Ballot Measures 66 and 67. These measures are on the ballot in the January 26 Special Election. Margaret Noel has been a member of the League of Women Voters of Portland for 16 years and has been involved in voter education for most of that time. She served on the Board of the League of Women Voters of Portland, as Special Events Chair for a year and as Voter Service Chair for four years. Elected to the Board of the League of Women Voters of Oregon in 1997, she was the Editor of the League’s Oregon Voters’ Guide for five years and served four years as Voter Service Chair.

Cornell Estates Residents will attend HSO holiday performance at Libery High School on Friday, December 18th at 7pm.
