At dinner last night with friends, my husband and I were enjoying telling “Lois” stories. The lady across from our table excused herself for easvesdropping, but wanted to ask where my mother was, as they were considering assisted living for their mother and they were so happy to (over) hear our stories of her entry into her new life. Of course, we HIGHLY recommended Cornell Estates – with pleasure. You folks are amazing. TOBEY

On Wednesday, January 20th as part of Cornell Estates and Retirement and Assisted Living, Bob Hermann, the Washington County District Attorney, will discuss the challenges of the judicial system as well his role as DA.
He began his career in the area in 1975. He served as the Chief Deputy District Attorney and has been the District Attorney since January, 1999 and is currently serving his 3rd term of office.
During his years as a prosecutor he has tried hundreds of cases and has specialized in both adult and child sexual assault cases, physical child abuse cases, arson and fraud cases, and presently, murder and aggravated murder cases.
Mr. Hermann has been a Board Member for Washington County Rape Victim Advocates, Board Member and president of the Women’s Shelter, Board Member and volunteer for the Make a Wish Foundation of Oregon, Board Member and president of the Washington County Bar Association. In addition he has lectured at many organizations and schools as well as been a speaker and insturtor helping to implement the criminal jury trail process in Sakhalin, Russia.
