Wine Tasting & Musical Featuring the “Sweet Musical Harmonies”

The wine tasting is from 2pm-2:45pm.
Music starts from 2:45pm- 3:30pm.
As we kick off our summer programs we would like to invite you to a special wine and cheese tasting party. Coming together with a group of fellow wine enthusiasts is a fantastic way to exercise your palate. A group atmosphere offers participants the opportunity to share opinions and conclusions, shaping and strengthening each individual’s appreciation of the wine. The concept is similar to that of a book club. Sure, you can enjoy a novel on your own, but getting together with a group of people can enhance your appreciation of that novel and the same holds true for wine tasting.
Our performers during the wine tasting are Skip & Sandy Farmer, son-in-law and daughter of Cornell Estates resident, Charl Matthews. They are known for producing “sweet musical harmonies” through folk, country, bluegrass, soft rock, and “old timey” sing-along-tunes. They have had overtures to play music from as far away as Texas and California. They’ve been asked to play at wineries, wine bars, weddings, restaurants, hospitals, and private parties.
Skip has written 40 songs and Sandy has sung with the “French Troubadour”, Eric John Kaiser, Jerry Hannan, a composer of music for the film industry, and many local performers. At the present time they are working on two CD projects. Skip is also the Manager of the Influence Music Hall in downtown Hillsboro and is in the beginning stages of opening a wine importing business. Both of these are non-profit groups dedicated to promoting all forms of art in the Hillsboro area.
